Default Please help me fix my exhaust.

I have a stock 110K mile ls1 with 1-3/4 longtubes, a texas speed ORY, and a stock slp dual dual exhaust that has all the stuffing blown out from shooting flames and running hard a the nurburgring.

I love the noise at Idle -2300RPM, and 3-6k it sounds like a NASCAR. The problem is this terrible resonance at 2.3-3k. It sounds like a truck with 4in true dual exhaust. How can I get rid of the resonance? Preferable without running the noise at high rpm.

If the packing is truly gone from you muffler then that most of you problem, you need a new muffler. Your other option is a bullet muffler in the I-pipe. For stock location either the Dynomax Ultra Flo welded #17227, (about $110), Magnaflow #12267(about $120), and if you can get past the cost the Borla #40474 (about $240). For the I-pipe location the Magnaflow #14419 (about $89), the SLP LMII (about $96), the Dynomax #24248 (stainless steel, about $67) , and the Dynomax #24222 (aluminized steel, about $45).
BTW, these are all Summit Racing prices.
