bbk shorties ... not searching for power, just want slightly louder exhaust note. can install myself so installation price not a factor. ... so question being, will the bbk shorties in combo with cali legal magnaflow high flow cats (i live in cali & want to stay legal so longtubes i DO NOT WANT) give me a beefier/noticably louder exhaust? right now i just have a borla xr1 straight through muffler everything else stock. sounds nice & clean with a mellow rumble, but would like somewhat louder yet not obnoxious & i'm not a fan of straight pipes.

sounds about right & thanks for response! will probably go for it here in a few weeks. just don't wanna buy shorties & high flows & not notice "any" sound difference ... & if it adds 10 hp i'll be happy!

When are you going to do an install? I have a set of pacesettter shorties, magna flow cats and the slp y-pipe. I picked it off ebay for dirt. I plan on bringing it to the dyno to get numbers but most of all I want to know how it is going to sound. Here in mass we are buried with snow so I have to wait till spring.

cambo - probably within 30-45 days not right away ... sorry bout that man! but we shall see what she sounds like! ... maybe someone with a similar setup will chime in before then hopefully.
