Default A.I.R. Removal

Hi,

I've done everything to remove my AIR system, except for capping the small vacuum line going into the rear of the intake manifold. I know the best thing to do would to cap it off at the very back by the T-fitting, but I can't get in there until I replace my intake manifold.

Based on the picture below, can I just cap the little plastic piece where the small line would go from the plastic piece to the three bigger AIR hoses (red line I drew)? Or should I remove the plastic piece circled in red, and cap the blue line somewhere until I can cap it at the back of the manifold?

Remove what you circled in red and cap it behind the manifold.

I can't get my fingers back there to cap it! Can I just cut the blue line to shorten it up, put a vacuum connector on the end, and cap the other side of the connector?

If you cant reach back there then yes cut it off and cap it as far back as you can. You can reuse a rubber coupler and thread a screw into one side with some RTV silicone.

Where the blue arrow is in your pic, that side goes to the ECM and then into the fire wall to run the HVAC trap doors.

Awesome. And since the AIR is already tuned out of the PCM, completely removing the solenoid (red circle) and unplugging it wont affect anything?

No, if all the AIR DTC's have been turned off you shouldn't get any SES light removing the solenoid.
