Anybody else think the Jet Hot Catted Y pipe is raspy?

Anybody else think the Jet Hot Catted Y pipe is raspy? Do any of you guys that have the Jet Hot catted Y pipe think its raspy or is it just me? I've got a few exhaust leaks in mine and the cats just don't seem to be doing their jobs in the sound department as far as rasp and such. I'm thinking about putting in a pair of carsound cats in place of where the Jet hot cats go, and welding all the seams on the Y pipe. What do you guys think about this idea? Thanks for your help!
