Default Egr Help

I am thinking about buying SLP longtubes for 01/02 but i have a 99... I was told i could get ride of the EGR by blocking it off and then the headers will fit and work with my car. Is this true?

If it is... What do i need to block the EGR and how to get i get the SES to go bye bye?

And help or suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks for the help.

You will also need to change the AIR system for those to fit. The easiest thing to do is to remove both the AIR and EGR and use AIR block off plates on the headers. You can use a freeze plug to block the EGR on the intake. Do a search for the size, because I can't remember. A tuner could remove the codes from the computer if the SES light bothers you. SLP headers hang really low so don't plan on lowering your car.
