Default Melted O2 Sensor wiring - how to replace?

Chasing an issue with my 5.3 powered '36 Chevy. Found the passenger side O2 harness, plug and pigtail melted to the exhaust. O2 sensor is no problem to replace and will come with a new pigtail but, how do I replace/repair the wires and plug from the harness? The wires aren't burned open but they've been very hot (insulation had fused the wires together but they pulled apart with the insulation still intact) and the plug is TOAST.

Any input is appreciated. I searched but didn't find this exact issue (surprisingly).
