Sry prolly wrong area, replaced starter, alternator, ignition switch, something is draining the battery witch is new aswell been an issue for a few weeks volt gauge will say 8/9 even thought i wiggled a short under dash b/c went back to 14/15 then after driving back low any advice is appreciated have had gauges go nuts also had ars n abs light come on. Also bcm? New to ls1's but love em. Electrical is my worst nightmare alternator needed replacing due to bad ps pump leaking on it so i just replaced it all doing 98000 mile run through car has headers,lid, catback, intake manifold, basic srart up but problem is new, remember reading about a wire getting pinched by column could that b it

Have you checked the alternator "exciter" pigtail connector.. It's 1 tiny 20-22 gauge wire and if tugged on too hard will disconnect from the pigtail even though it may look still attached

With it off it won't allow the alternator to work properly and charge the car..


If you have someone scan your car with hptuners it might show that code p1637

No lil new to ls n hate electrical do u kno color of wire or where it runs im assuming its under dash the short that is but i wiggled the harness pretty hard
