Default 6.2 l99 water pump thermostat outlet

hi everyone, just figured that I would share this. I still have the truck intake on my engine with the truck accessories and i'm swapping to the car style fast.

I'll be using the camaro l99 water pump, the only problem with this water pump is that the thermostat outlet is clocked to roughly 7 o'clock, which doesn't really work for my lower radiator hose.

so I changed the factory thermostat housing to ac delco 15-10595, this put the thermostat outlet back to the 9 o'clock position.

You'd have been better off using the 08 up truck water pump.

You can use the car intake with them,it's a direct bolt on.

I have 1 here if u need a pic...

I'll guess this is going in an Impala?

I just dropped an LQ9 with L99 Camaro WP into my 96 Impala a few days ago and I'm dialing in all my hoses.

Top was straight forward - I used a 09.5 G8 hose to the drivers side radiator inlet.

Bottom is tough... I've tried about 15 hoses that "seem close" on the wall at the auto parts store but all a little off when I get em on the car.

It seems like 6 o'clock would give me more options but you're saying the 9 o'clock position worked better for you?

it's actually in a gbody monte carlo ss, and in my case I needed the thermostat pointed at 9 ocklock to work with my existing lower radiator hose.
