Hey guys,

I just wanted to know which sounds louder? Borla XR1's (40085) or any other Borla mufflers or just doing a muffler delete.

I plan on deleting the cats in the future soon. The LT's are coming but don't know when, but I'm just doing this just for right now.

Which would benefit me more with having a cat delete too?

I don't mind it being loud BUT it has to be aggressive and really good not just obnoxiously loud and not sound like crap.

A muffler delete will sound like crap so I'd throw away that idea for starters

I had a muffler delete on my '96 Trans Am and it wasn't really that bad. Sounded pretty good in my opinion.

The Borla XR1 sounds pretty good. I had wanted to put them on my dual setup, but decided to go with the SLP Loudmouth 1 resonators instead due to finding a great deal on them.

Have you looked into the MagnaFlow 14419? Very similar to the XR1 and it's cheaper. I run it as well

Muffler delete with no cats will sound like crap. Period.

Any muffler will clean up the sound and improve the sound over that redneck sounding garbage.
