Default 9" cone filter or 9" oval air filter

The bbk 1742 is a 9 inch cone filter with a 3.5 inch inlet diameter.
The bbk 1746 is a 9 inch oval filter with a 3.75 inch inlet diameter and is said to be the replacement filter for c5 corvette cold air intakes.

Have any of you dyno'd 2 different styles like above and if the flow ability is almost identical, would one be less of a disruption/turbulence to the maf than the other?

I'd go with the oval and a screened MAF or go to a sd Tune.

Ya I'm leaning towards the oval as it seems to have more surface area and the opening is 1/4" larger in diameter. My maf is an 85mm screened version as it is.
