Default Cam sensor failing?

I've had a problem with my 00 z28 since I bought it and the previous owner said it started after he had changed the cam and crank sensor. It'll sometimes start on the first try and sometimes it'll take anywhere from 2-9 times to make it start. It'll just sit there and crank and pop through the exhaust. Pretty embarrassing. It's not throwing any dtcs. Runs good though after it turns on. Seems to do it more so when it's colder out for some reason.

Try a new crank sensor then calibrate.

Try replacing crank sensor (easy job) then have someone re-learn the procedure on both crank and cam to synchronize. Some reputable race shops or dealerships should be able to do this for you.

Check the fuel pressure on start up. The check valve in the fuel pump may not be holding. Cycling the ignition a few times will repressurizing the fuel lines if the fuel pump relay is working.
