Adding Cats to a ORY?
When adding cats to a Y-pipe, what cats should I purchase?

When I installed my Kooks long tube headers like 10 years ago I opted for a catted Y-pipe due to the lovely emissions laws here in NJ. Some people had told me that cats don't live very long behind headers but I went with the aluminized catted Y-pipe (at the time Kooks was only offering an aluminized Y-pipe.) maybe after 10,000 miles or so one cat started rattling. I removed the Y-pipe to see that the honeycomb within the cat body came detached. I ordered a Kooks stainless off road Y pipe and have been running it since. Inspection is coming up and I think I should add cats. Rather than purchasing a 3rd Y-pipe with cats for $700 I figured I would just buy 2 new cats and bring the car to a exhaust shop to have them welded in. But I am unsure what the best cat to buy is.
Any suggestions?
