I would like to see what Eceryone is doing for exhaust that is making 500+ n/a. Currently trying to decide but not sure if I want true duals because of how loud all the videos I've seen are.

in my experience, duals have been quieter than single exhaust. my weight and MPH calculated to roughly 500 RWHP. 1 7/8 primary, 3" collector and dual mandrel exhaust through the long bulllets and a X pipe is what I had.

Well i'm not 500+. Close. Going from a y pipe/single to TSP td helped about 20/20. Going from 470/448 to 496/468 on a 383. I'll never go back to a single exhaust. It is pretty loud though. Not for the faint.

I've been a bunch of 10.90's passes thru a single 3" pipe and hooker Muffler. Usually picks up a half a tenth with the cutout open

This is a good post!

Most of the duals are loud because they're either dumped or kooks. They are designed to be loud. Stock corvette is dual with X pipe. If you add resonators after the X and then some decent mufflers, duals will be quieter at the same flow vs merged.

Just saying that dual does not necessarily mean loud by default. The bolt on options for the F car are loud. A custom dual exhaust can be as quiet as you want

Never thought of the corvette being that way. Sounds like maybe a custom system will be better and quieter. Just need to find an oval style muffler that will work well.
