Default Air pocket at the T-State :-(

Hy all

after i have reassembled my radiator and the T-State housing. I do have a big problem with air in the cooling.

I do have a Chevy Pickup with a LS1 swap.....no heater core (as u can see on the attached pic)

I blucked the water pump..

I do have a overflow tank

I refilled the system twice ...at the second time i jacked up the front of the car...loosening the steam ports and filled it up with fluid till the fluid came out of the steam ports. I tightened the ports up and filled the system.

Than i tried to bleed the system with a funnel assembled on the top the radiator....
After that i closed the radiator with the cap...

I restarted the engine .....after the engine was totally warmed up ..i made a temperature check with my laser pointer ....the result u can see on the pic.

The T-State was still not open ....because there has to be a big air pocket behind the T-State according to the low temperature..
At the upper radiator hose the water was already rumbling respectivly boiling..

Pls help me .....how can i get out the ******* air at the T-State ??

Thanks
Achim

it is overheating in parking position ....but if i raise up the rpm the temperature goes down...

I guess i got the point..... i will try to use a U bend Hose for the heater core out/inlet..

So maybe the water does not move / travel around the T-State and warms it up like it should

What do u think about that solution ??

Thx
Achim

Just saw this. Yes, you need to loop the fittings together for thereafter hose
