Ls1 engine harness
So I'm swapping an ls1 into my Mazda rx8. I was going to buy a complete salvage yard engine and rebuild but found it cheaper to just start from the block and build it. To get all the electronics working I have a guy in New Mexico who needs the dash, old rotary harness, and ls1 engine harness. The only problem is he uses the f-body harness's for the swap. So what is the difference between all the harness's for all the ls1's. When I'm building it are the certain pieces or plugs that I need to make sure are f-body series and not corvette or gto? Was planning on iron block 5.3 bored out to 5.7. All Texas speed forged internals and 317 heads to get the CR down to 9.1:1. Also was thinking about running a stand alone system. Would that come with the harness and engine ecu? Thanks!
