My oil pressure gauge is stuck??

My oil pressure gauge is stuck?? When I turn to engine off, the needle stays put. When I turn the engine on it operates normally. Is this something normal that I have never noticed, or is the needle supposed to drop to zero when the engine is turned off

I just checked my gauge: when you first turn the car off, the gauge will stay up for a little bit and then it slowly returns to zero. Is yours dropping at all, or is it stickinguntil the next time you turn the car on??
