Default free mods?

I've only had my car for around 5 months and keep hearing people talk about free mods, What are they? how much did it help.

I personally don't think they are worth anything. Free ram air, Coolant bypass on the Throttle body.

Theres a few of them. They are called 'free mods' cuz they dont cost anything, they are done be removing/changing something already on your car. Check out the installuniversity link.

Lightbulb

I think the free ram air mod helps slightly, and in some cases descreening the MAF and even the 'cutting the EGR protrusion' mod (pre 2001 LS1 F-bodies) might help in many cases, again only slightly though.
Certainly ANYTHING involving tire pressures and/or weight reduction (both free) will no doubt help move a car down the track (or street) quicker.

i could defenatily felt a power gain after doing the Free ram air mod and removing the plastic plates. I could also hear a louder intake air whoosh sound after doing that mod.
