They have made my car misfire and stumble. They have thrown misfire codes like one time my bank 1 A/F ratio gauge filled up with water the pod and all.I had left the t-tops off in the rain like a dumb *** which has happened twice.
The purple wire that reads the o2 sensor was submerged in water right at the butt connector. The car threw a bank 1, cylinder 1 misfire code (po301) Then another time my bank 2 A/F gauge the same purple wire on that gauge melted and freyed and it of course got wet and was possibly grounding out on metal and it threw a bank 2, cylinder 8 misfire code (po308) When in all reality, yes these cyliders were misfiring but it was due to the purple wire coming from the o2's getting damaged or wet at the connecton. Each time I replaced the o2 sensor and everything was fine.
