Default Do front 02 sensors go out often when you have long tubes?

Looks like a front 02 sensor on my dad's Z28 went out again. It wasn't new to begin with, but it has been working for 2 weeks until now. Is there a reason why this happens or is it just because?

Yes, this is common. Long tubes don't allow the O2 sensors to heat up enough therefore they fould more often. I've heard of a fix which involved using the Vette O2's and no extensions but don't know the details. Waiting for mine to go out again and then I'll probably do that fix.

Thanks. Is there anyone else with this problem?

I'm on my 4th set. I went and bought a small propane torch from Lowes for $16. I put the O2 in a vice and hit it on 4 sides for one minute a piece; this cleans off any goop on the O2 and makes it last longer.
