eletric cut out for $40...????

Default eletric cut out for $40...????

hey will someone look at this and tell me why this is so much chewaper than the eletric cutouts from like QTP anshit...

That's not an electric cutout. It's just a manual cutout with a cable that goes from the valve to the dash. I actually think Summit or Jeg's has them even cheaper.

Default eletric cut out

is that cut out gonna be about the same as an eletric cutout ..i mean can i open it and close it from in the car???

that thing is a piece of crap. I had one and I think it's in my garage somewhere. The adjustable butterfly rattled around like crazy and never closed fully. Plus the guys at the muffler shop said that it's cast iron construction doesn't really hold up that well when welded. just my .02

i actually just picked up a QTEC today from the qtp shop. had it welded in place and wired it up through the car myself. well worth the 190 bucks and 25 to weld it in place

Cast iron is very difficult to weld because you have to control the cooling or you will crack it. I would never weld cast iron into my exhaust set up. I'd be surprised if any muffler shop would even take on the job.

That heavy, cheapie manually operated cut out is also only available in 2 1/4" inch diameter or smaller as well, too small for our cars.
