Default cooling fan help!

After being pulled over today, my car threw a code when i started it back up. The code was po481 (i think the first two lettters were "po") Either way, i looked it up and it said there was a error with the cooling fan wires or relay. I checked out all the fuses, the relays with a voltmeter while tripping them, and I cant find any problem with anything. I even hard wired the relays and the fans worked at both speeds. Yet on the drive home, the light stayed on, but the car stayed under 185 degrees. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know whats wrong with my car?

thanks for any info in advance!

"P0481 Cooling Fan 2 Control Circuit Malfunction"
http://www.obdii.com/codes.html

Gauges on these cars aren't real accurate. Let the car run a little longer and see if the fans come on.

I just had this problem. But I found that the 40 amp Maxi Fuse was blown... the cooling fans weren't coming on at all. It is the fuse farthest to the left, red, 40 amp. the big maxi one, under the hood.

for info purposes alone, i found out my problem. My pcm was no longer grounding the circuts that went to the fan relays. I will have to have my pcm replaced. Luckily GM guarantees the pcm up to 88000 mi, and I only have 55000. Ill let ya know if that fixes the problem.

I appreciate the ideas though guys. I am getting it replaced tomorrow, or technically later today.
