Ls6 intake w/o EGR?

Default Ls6 intake w/o EGR?

i have the Ls6intake w/o the EGR with it. I was wondering if that would harm my car...or better yet have somthing to do with emmsions?

What year model is your car? The '01-'02 cars didn't have the EGR system.

No you'll be fine. The cars that came w/the LS6 intake stock are just fine. The EGR sole purpose is for the reduction of NOX (oxides of nitrogen) emissions produced by high combustion temps. It keeps combustion temps down by added inert (exhaust) gas into intake stream.

Just in case you didn't know in addition to the above posts, your pcm will throw a code and you will get your SES light with the deletion of the EGR. You can delete it (actually turn it off) with edit or HP tuner. Using an OBD II scanner won't make it go away permanantly. It doesn't harm anything though.
