I am looking at an LS1 to buy for my swap and found one that the owner believes is from an '01 Camaro. But, it has the LS1 Manifold with EGR. The current owner bought it intending to do a swap, but had a change in plans. He never saw the car it came from and we don't have the VIN.

Is it possible that some early '01 models came with the older set up? I know it is not a big deal to change the manifold, I'm wondering if there are any other differences.

Thanks for your input guys. After getting the laser inscripted number off the side of the block and using the info in this thread

Along with the carcheck web page, I was able to determine the motor is from an 2000 Firebird.
