Default New plugs with headers?

im about to install some pacesetter lts and i was woundering if i should go ahead and put in ngk tr 55s .. my friend told me not to cause they are crap cause hes had misfire problems with his and to stay with my stock plugs, but since ive already bought ngks id like to use them if they are in fact better than stock any suggestions ? this is for a 2000 ls1 with 40k miles thanks

Stock plugs are okay, (although some argue the gap goes nuts rather easily), but I installed a set of Macs on Friday night and my plug of choice? NGK tr55 (part number 3951). Reason? With headers its easier to change out the plugs every 15k miles, and it comes down to $1.79 v. $6 to $12 a plug.

changing plugs out w/the headers off is cake. definitely do it!! i run tr-55's myself, no mis-fire issues here.

uh, TR55s are the plug of choice for N/A applications, your friend has something else going on. Install those NGKs and don't look back.
