headers banging.....
Where is the most common spot where long tube headers tend to bang against the frame of the car???
Ever since I had my cam installed the vibration of the headers and/or y-pipe is banging constantly against the bottom of my car during idle. It's getting to the point where it's driving me crazy.

There are a few places where your headers could be hitting the frame of the car. The first place I'd check is the rear of the transmission mount. I had to trim one of the monting flanges to get my Dynatech headers to clear this area. Another is the heat shielding on the passenger side floorboard. Finally, the crossbrace is a common place for the Y-pipe on LT headers to hit against.
Hope this helps.
