Default Z06 LS6 Manifolds

Is it true that a set of 2004 Z06 LS6 manifolds would only flow about 5hp less than longtubes? If that is true will they bolt up to a 99 LS1 without problems??

That was in Car Craft a couple of months ago. I still don't quite know if I believe it.

They will bolt up to an ls1, But not in an f-body( or so I hear, Search this, I asked about this a few months ago).

I doubt that is true. You sure they weren't talking about shorty headers or mid-lengths?

Bolting them to a LS1 is no problem. The problem would be hooking it up to your F-body y-pipe.

get a set of used Macs and be done with it. Macs only give up a few hp to LT's til you really spin the motor or use a power adder.

Just get headers. Preferably longtubes, macs are acceptable. There is no way you'll get the same power out of a manifold, especially when you get more into the mods.

have a y-pipe and borla catback...thinking of flushing the cats. did anyone have trouble getting them flushed or is it better just to get performance cats, and i am running lean, rich fuel; will it make a difference if i get the veh remapped or just leave it alone?
