Default Power Steering Pulley

Have a question on power steering pulley install. Got the old one off and the newer Reichard Racing pulley on no problem but my question is it looks like the ribs are lined up with the idler pulley but there is still room left for the pulley to be pressed on. Not much, but is that normal? I'm assuming it's more
important for the pulleys and ribs to be lined up than to have the pulley cranked down?

Thanks
Bryan

Thanks, does you or anyone know the stock serpentine belt length. I think I need a 1" longer belt for this overdrive pulley.

Thanks

Overdrive pulley? Did you mean underdrive? Also, how did you put the pulley back on?

Whatever a bigger than stock pulley does, I did it mainly for looks. It's a spoked pulley that was CNC machined from solid billet and then I had it polished to a high luster finish.

Pulley was pulled and the new one installed with a power steering pulley puller tool. Basically it just presses the new pulley on.

Oh ok gotcha. Most people go with the underdrive, not over.

if you take a peice of string and route it around and measure it I can tell you what size you need. Or if you can get a part number off the old belt I can tell you what would be 1 inch longer.

Part # on old belt is: 12569527 and then after that is 6PK2001 EB

I measure the stock belt to be 78 1/2 " does that sound right?? I didn't know if they went by 1/2" increments or not, that's why I want a second opinion.

Thanks

stock should be about a 79 inch belt by what I have seen

go get a gates belt. number K060785,(78.5) a K060780,(78), K060775(77.5) etc etc etc unless you get what you need.

bigger than stock would cause the pump to run slower, so it is an underdrive.
