Default 160 thermostat

is a 160 degree thermostat worth getting or can i get some advise on it

Search the site for 160 deg. t stats, lots of good info about them. From what I have read it is worth getting, however I have heard some negative things about it as well. If you do get one, you are going to have to re-program your fans to come on eariler for the t stat to work.

You can get it, but dont expect your car to run any cooler unless you get your fan temps lowered. I had a 160 thermo for ahwile and the car would typically run 230 degrees and more. I got the fan temps lowered and it never went above 180.

If you don't have anything to re-program the fan for the 160 stat consider a SLP manual fan switch.

not worth it. just get your fans reprogrammed, or a manual switch.
