What thingy that's in the tb? Do you mean the piece that hangs down in the intake manifold behind the tb? With ALL free mods GMHighTech mag dyno'd 10 hp higher. tb bypass.tb porting, !FRA, intake "manhood" chop. Also, descreen the Mass air meter. Take it apart and pop out the screen. There's nothing but clearance (or lack there of) that holds it in place.

That thing that "hangs" in the Intake, with the tube coming out of it is the EGR...It takes gases from the manifolds, and puts it back in the headers to make the EPA happy... You're going to need to remove that and plug the intake with a freeze plug. Then use some block-off plates on the manifolds....

I have no idea what you're talking about when you say you're deleting the EGR stuff off the TB.

Also, you have FRA. NOT !FRA.

"!", means removed, not included, gone, etc....

The FRA mod by design requires the movement or air up/thru the air dam. It's something that won't really show much of a benefit on a stationary dyno, it's just the nature of the beast.

I get a really dirty filter w/ the FRA, I need to flip the K&N every once inawhile to get it evenly distributed.

FLIPPING THE FILTER IS NOT A GOOD IDEA IT HAS A FLOW PATTERN AND ANY DEBIS,DUST ETC,ETC IT HAS COLLECTED WILL BE SUCKED IN THE ENGINE.

It will still change the flow pattern. Rotating it wil cause air to get at the dirt particles from a different angle, possibly freeing some of them to pass through the filter.

i dont think thats what he ment..but good lookin out

yeah your filter will get a lot dirtier, on a dyno it would show much of an increase because the air going into your intake would be significantly warmer and negate any air flow increase.

when i did the mod i noticed better throttle response and more noise from the intake, along with a lot dirtier of a filter.
