hey i have a 99 SS before i get headers i want to see if i can dump the egr do they sell blockoff plates and such till i get headers and a ls6 intake? i know it will throw codes like crazy but will it drive any worse? power drop or lose gas mileage?

For what you are going to gain I would say wait untill you do the lts and ls6. You wont notice any differance in power, just a cleaner engine bay.

You can make the plates but it's a pain in the ***.

I haven't heard of any problems with driveability. Just probs with emissions and codes.

Autozone sells the 1 3/8" freeze plug.
