Are the front and back, left, and right different?

I'm going to assume you're talking about an F-bod, but no they are not different; they are fully interchangable. Now a rear o2 on a vette is going to be different, but that has to do with the heater and the length of wire.

For LS1 F-bodies, the only difference I know of is the lenght of the wires from the factory. I've heard that if you buy replacement O2s that they all use the same lenght wires, only the originals are different (again, this is what I've been told, haven't had to buy a new one yet myself).

As for the sensor itself, I would have to say there is no difference. When I put the headers on my WS6 I moved all of them around to get the best lenght wires in the best locations and use fewer O2 extensions. Swapping them around (front to back and side to side) caused no problem at all. So yes I'd say they are interchangeable.....

Well, I called a parts manager for chevrolet, and he wanted to know what side I needed them for, and front, or rear. Weird--
