Default exhaust tips

do the tips have anything to do with the sound/tone? i have loudmouth 1 with the slash tips, but friend says the duel/duel tips soud better. is that true?

I think they do. I had dual/dual tips on my loudmouth before I switched to the mecham exhaust tips and I noticed the change. With the dual/dual I had a more throatier sound. Also the type of metal plays a factor. My mecham tips are made out of aluminum which I noticed took some of the rasp( I love rasp).
