Default Anybody ever fry their O2's

but not on the header or y-pipe? i changed the o2 sensor and went to erase the codes and well i smelled burning plastic... i look under the car and one of the o2 wires is red hot...w..t..f.. is going on?

That really sounds like an electrical problem. They (wires) shouldn't get red hot, lol

I have. Wire was too lose to the header. I had to splice/solder the wire. Works fine now. You cannot splice the actual o2sensor wires, just the o2 wiring harness wires.

i had to solder a piece of wire into the extension because my dad the retard had the bung welded on the wrong piece so it was a few inches farther back. i did not touch the actual o2 wires. i soldered wome wire into the extension harness. i think i t might be the resistance of the spliced wire. also its the black(ground) wire thats burning up. the passenger side without a splice... is fine.
