Default Question about AIR/ Tube on 2000-2002 Air Box

Ok, I want a definate answer because I am confused as to all those dumb *** hoses under the hood. I was originally under the impression that the tube coming out of the airbox assembly was for the AIR system. Therefore, once the AIR is deleted, you could completely take that tube off. Then, I called Speed Inc. and the sales rep told me that that tube was not in fact AIR, but something else. I looked under the hood, and I took the tube that runs up the drivers side of the fender under the hood thats attatched to the hood release cable and i shook it up and down and low and behold, it shook the tube attached to the airbox. so it APPEARS that that tube is for AIR, but the sales rep told me no? who is correct? thanks guys

Yes, it's for the air. At least when I took my air system off that hose was attached to the air pump. Maybe that's why he's a sales rep and not a mechanic.

It should be OK. Most airlids do not come with the AIR inlet except for maybe SLP's.
