Default Cut-out is it worth it for me?

I am looking for a few more hp and I keep thinking of an electric cut-out. I have the SLP Loudmouth exhaust so my question is am I going to notice a difference in power and sound with this exhaust set up?

I would not get a cut-out with loud mouth. It is already pretty loud .I did not get any HP increase with my cut-out

I say do it. If you have the stock exhaust manifolds and cats it may not be that much louder but if you ever get headers it sound amazing.

sound, yes. it'll be louder, somewhat. power, no. i watched a dyno, back to back, on a SS with the SLP loudmouth vs opening the cutout. he picked up 2 rwhp opening it. if you want it for sound, then go for it. if you want it for an increase of power over the SLP, then no. the only way to get more power over the aftermarket exhaust will be to move to a dual setup.

WILWAXU will be in shortly.

see? told you he'd show up just picking on you.

i'll agree, it's better than $1000 for 10 rwhp. man over a year later and that still hurts thinking about it.

but, he's also talking about an electric one. so, that's about $200.00 for 2 rwhp. now that i think about it, that's what i got on my headers. $100/hp
