Default pacesetters

hey i got some pacesetters and i have a couple questions....first do i need new header gaskets and bolts? also is the air hook up location on the headers different between a 98/99 and a 01/02? i think i have 98/99 headers but i have a 2001 so i want to make sure the air will still hook up...i know that the egr needs to be blocked off

No its not something that has to be changed. If the gaskets look like they need to be changed, go ahead and do so. The bolts dont need to be changed either, but its also a good idea to go with some stage 8 bolts.
Go ahead and get rid of the AIR system, you taking out the EGR so take out the AIR as well. Just be sure to get some block off plates for them.

Hooking up the AIR is no problem, with my Pacesetters' I got gaskets, bolts for the AIR & EGR, and an EGR block off plate (which I didn't use-have a 2000).

Also included were header bolts. They are a little shorter than stock, and had a 7/16" head vs the 10mm stockers. Actually came in handy for me, as 2 of the stockers didn't want to thread all the way in, and I didn't have access to a tap on a Sunday.

you dont really need a tune for the AIR, i got my codes deleted for my AIR EGR and rear o2 sensors and they are all still on the car, i did it in advance for my header install this week. But it is not necessary to get a tune when removing those things, all you need is the codes deleted, which if your lucky you'll find somebody to do it for free. Its five minutes worth of work.
