I noticed after welding up much of it that it changed the sound quite a bit. Less rasp. Make sure you leave the clamps like over the rear axle so you can take it off if need be.

Weld it to the I-pipe. Clamping the rest is ok.

I had my Magnaflow clamped for about 2 years, then a few months ago I put in LT headers and was getting rattling and banging. So ended up getting it welded(clearance with the LT's, full boxed diamond sfc's was really close), then the Magnaflow Muffler broke the weld on the side. Magnaflow did replace it for free and I originally had it done at Walts and they did the labor free. The clamps worked great until the LT's though. It normally needs to be adjusted a few month after you put it on from heat and vibration.

Clamps, if it leaks after the clamps then weld.

If money is no object I would get some type of V-band clamp flanges welded on. No leaks and you will have the oppertunity to remove and reinstall with ease.

thanks all, it's welded ...... a little quieter than I had hoped. Better tone than stock...the stock WS6 exhaust had gotten louder over time....maybe this will also....

The Magnaflow mufflers change sound some and get a little louder after a good amount of driving and they get hot and cold. With LT headers it sounds mean.
