Default Will a Gatorback belt fix my slipping problem?

My belt has slipped off before, so i got a new OEM tensioner from GM and havent had any problems in the 6 months its been on, i have a new belt, but its and OEM one, but last night i ran a srt-4 on the street and after it shifted into third the belt slipped off, the guy that owns the local performance shop down here has 630rwhp and is using his stock tensioner so i dont think that a katech unit would make much difference, but i need your guys opinions, should i try the gator back? then maybe look for a pulley w/a higher lip?

If it slipped off, then something is wrong. Its either the wrong sized belt or something is not aligned properly. The Gatorback does not have any magic stick'em, and would be tossed just as easy.
