Default Removed aluminum plug insulators - bad idea?

I was getting arking with my old plugs, wires and LT headers....

I replaced the old Bosch 4s with NGKs and left the aluminum plug insulators off....

Is this a bad idea..... I think they were the cause of the arking with the LTs.....

Mt Thunder Racing plug wires have not yet melted!!!!

OK - so not many have them off, I assume.

Should I put mine back on or wait and see if the plug wires melt?

Hey Chan - does that chick like jello?

I took them off when I installed my LT's. I think the aftermarket wires can take a bit more heat, and they aren't routed to close to any of the header tubes.

I'm sure I had some arking issues with these..... PO300 codes were being thrown like baseballs at the Series.
