Default burnt up altenator

I've gone though 2 in the last month.They both have had the bearing fail in the back,the oridginal had 60,000 miles and the new one only has 1200 miles.Do I need under drive pulleys? shi9fting at 6400rpm.

Are you using a cheap aftermarket one? If so, I'd suggest picking up a name brand replacement i.e. AC Delco.
