Default Need a straight answer on sending unit adapter...

I'm installing an autometer water temp gauge soon and I've been reading up on the install.

Though I'm confused about one thing. The sending unit adapater...

Some say use M12x1.5 to 1/8" others are saying to use the M16x1.5 adapter.

So which one is it? Probably using the location in the block by the starter.

Thanks!

If you are using the block location then the M16 adapter is what you need. If you are going to use the head location (which is my choice) then you need the M12x1.5 adapter. I have a gauge on the way and will be using the passenger side head location. I just need to locate an adapter locally.
