Default What is this and where does it go to?



the tube that's going in to the intake. i have a small hole and sucking in air. where could i get a replacement. i wont be able to take it in until next weekend, i dont think it will hurt anything since its been doing it for a while now. thanks for the help

that is the pvc system. i would put something over the hole. i had a hole in mine and it ran like ****.

Yeah that's a PCV hose, it runs from the TB back behind the manifold somewhere. It probably wouldn't hurt much to have it open as long as you fix it soon. It might raise your idle slightly though.

what does it do? i havnt really noticed a differnece in the way my car runs, i ran at the track last weekend, when i noticed the sound

The PCV system just vents pressure from the crankcase. It might not affect your car much at all since its not a really big leak. My old caprice had a decent vacuum leak and it idled pretty high until I fixed it.
