Default Exhaust comparison (ad nauseam)

I'm considering what to do with my car and would just like an open opinion. I currently have an SLP LM with a y-pipe. I'm going to get Pacesetter headers (no emissions in FL) soon.

Here's what I'm thinking:

1. Headers + my current ORY + LM (Borla XR1 muffler or not)
2. Headers + true duals w/ over axle pipes

The car is my daily driver...neighbors aren't really an issue, but I will be doing alot of highway driving, and don't really want alot of drone. With just the LM it drones already, so that's why I was thinking of the XR1 (thank you, search). What do you think of the quality of sound vs annoyance?

I would probably go with ORX out the back. Thats what I'm planning on doing. probably going with either sweet thunder mufflers or the rumbler setup from tsp. tsp is supposed to be getting in the ST mufflers with their x pipe.

The sound clips I have heard to me seems that the XR-1 tones the sound down to near perfect level. Still loud but not loudmouth loud.

Im getting ready to put a XR-1 in my I pipe and dump it at the axle.

XR1 in the I-pipe sounds great.

I dont think your current y-pipe is going to work with the pacesetters.

If money is no object do the duals over the axle and out the back. But the new y-pipe and xr1 will be much cheaper, and still sound good.

True duals if you got the money, XR1 if you don't.

Assuming your headers will have at least 3" collectors, and assuming you may want more mods in the future, I would get an ORY to fit the headers if you don't do duals. Besides, all the BS to make your Y pipe work to me just wouldn't be worth it.
I've had an XR1 for many thousands of miles. It didn't sound half as good until I put in LTs.
Whichever, LTs make just about anything sound better, IMO.
