Question LT Header Help

I wish to purchase a LT header but concerned with ground clearance. My 2002 SS is lowered with DMS springs. Please guide me in the right direction. I don't mind spending extra money for the right set-up. THANKS

Default LT Headers

I am leaning towards a coated header. I heard that Kook's would be the way to go. They have the most clearance and are a quality unit. I have read stories about how some headers hitting the steering shaft or banging on the K member. What is the verdict on the Kook's. THANKS

Kooks and the QTP's are regarded as the best headers. But they cost mucho money, its well worth it though. Especially if you live in an area where rust is a problem. I have the coated Pacesetter myself. I could not be happier with them, they went in without any problems and tuck up really nice. IMHO I would go with the Pacesetters, save some money for other mods. But if you do not want to deal with rust then go with the Kooks/QTP.

I have very little rust on my Pacesetters - mostly cause I go in and polish them up as much as possible. I also had to put my stock manifolds back on a week ago to pass emissions here, so that gave me plenty of time to take off the rust...its not a lot of rust but there is some. Oh I have had the Pacesetters for 6 months now I believe...they have seen some rain also.

Kooks. No problems with ground clearance here.
