Default does year matter?

hey all, I will be buyin an SLP lid today off ebay(new)and was wondering if SLP lids fit any year(98-02). mines an 02 but they don't state the year for them just 98+ need a lil advice

ok never mind i guess they do....it say 00-02 for me....but whats the Differance? they all look the same.....someone please fill me in on this.

the newer style SLP lid has the place to hook up the AIR hose onto the lid, the lids for the earlier models don't.

Are you sure it's the AIR system, this feeds frech air from outside via a small pump to the CATS on start up. I don't think it would be attached to the air box lid.

I think it might be for the AIT (Air Intake Temperature) sensor.

Yea, that hose is for the air injection for the cats. If the lid doesn't have it, you just put a little K&N or whatever filter on the hose and tuck it down somewhere. The AIT sensor mounts in the neck on the lid.
