well im going to have to remove the egr and use block off plates and have the code cleared at a dyno shop.
will removing the egr have any side effects?

no side effects. just an SES light til you get it tuned out. it is an emissions thing not a driveablilty thing

so it will be ok to drive it for a day or two till i go to the dyno?
also i dident know about the tuning of the car with the new intake with the a/f ratio changing. dont want to hurt anything.

yeah you will be fine driving around for a couple days/weeks/months I don't think your intake swap will affect your A/F that much that your stock tune can't compensate for. Basicly you need to get your codes deleted. I don't know that a tune will help you that much with just an intake swap. I put long tubes on my friends SS and removed the AIR system. he has been driving around with the SES light on since august. He will be getting a tune after I install his cam in the next month or so.
