Default Motor and tranny mounts---did I mess up?

I just installed the BMR crossmember with TA mount and went ahead and put in a new Energy Suspension tranny mount with. I still have the original motor mounts though. I heard somewhere that running a stiffer poly mount on the tranny and softer (stock) mounts on the motor will not let the tranny move enough when the motor torques over and could break the case. It sounds a little drastic to me but I figured before I romp on this thing at the track I better find out.

I intend to put poly mounts on the motor too but I am waiting till I get a new motor, no sense doing all that work twice! As far as I know the motor mounts are fine, but the motor does shake around a little with this cam. I don't get any contact between the motor and frame.

Agreed, that seems like BS to me. I have not heard of that problem myself, and you would have to put quite a lot of torque on that thing to break the case.

If you know of a thread where this case cracking is taked about post it. Interested.
