I guess a lid with about 17 party whistles shoved in the lower air box might satisfy your needs?

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZINGGGGGG!!!

Oh man i'm almost tempted to go to the party store just to try this now

Any airlid you buy is going to produce a bit more of the suction sound that i'm assuming you're looking for. As Lithium said, a lid is a lid.

The K&N FIPK has a little bit of sound when your right on top of it. But when you close the hood and get on it all you can hear in my car is tire spin and exhaust. Odd? Haha<joking. Seriously if you want intake sound put 5 mufflers on your car and then maybe you'll hear it.

of course they do it's just logical and physics.

Part of the noise from the exhaust is the sound of the air (exhaust gases) exiting the system. The rest is the sound of combustion and mechanical noise.

But air going into the system also makes a noise, else why else would the stock air lid have baffles and two great big silencers on it.

The BMW M3 CSL makes a great noise and it's all induction noise not exhaust. Also on my V12 XJS I turned the panel filters thru 180 degrees so the blocking plate no longer covered the TB, this made quite a noticably growl under WOT, which is why they had plates off centre on the back of the filter in the first place - to reduce induction noise.

The trouble is that by the time you have a loud exhaust added it tends to overpower the induction noise.

A lid and free flow filter will increase induction noise, but perhphs not by that much, a set of cone filters may make more. But it's easier to get more noise from the exhaust.
