I ran one for like 2 years and never had any problems, ran is year round. It was located under the passenger, on yht straight pipe after the Y. I assume if it was too close it could, but i have also ran headers with extensions with no problems. We live in texas remember, its cold like 6 days of the year!

just make sure they are behind the o2 sensors and you'll be ok, if the o2 sensor does not get a proper reading than u risk damage from over lean/rich conditions

Are you talking about using O2 sims for the fronts? If so I would strongly reccomend that you don't. You will be asking for nothing but problems since your cpu won't be able to regulate A/F ratio.
