Default Edelbrock Slip on Merge collecters VS QTP Race headers ride along

Well over the last 2 weeks, ive helped a few buddies install headers on their cars. One was a 00 WS6 now with QTPs, and no muffler in a custom single 3" exhaust. The second was a 02 Z28 with the Edelbrock Rack headers with slip on Both of these cars are 6 speeds.

Now for the mod list
00 WS6, best time was 13.4 @ 112 with a 2.6 60', only time on the track
1st, 2nd race:
Custom 3" single exhaust, no muffler, stock Y on up
Bald Z rated tires, some cheap kind
SLP lid/ bellow
DIY ported TB
Cut EGR pipe
Coolent bypass
Hurst shifter, with cut pro 5.0 stick

3rd race:
Added the QTP Race headers, !air/EGR, no o2 sims, no tuning as of yet, Y
pipe was cut to sit inside the collecters, and some tin was used make a cone reducer to somewhat direct the exhaust out the old cat back, looks bad, leaks bad, but the new tone is there and we like it

02 Z28 ran 13.9@102, shiffing at 5200-5400

1st race:
Borla cat back, with no restricter plate

2nd race:
Ported TB
Coolent bypass
De ribbed/smothed lid
FRA

3rd race:
Edelbrock Race version LT headers, with Ti-tech coating, slip on merge collecters
Edelbrock Y pipe, feeding the borla catback, no tuning

1st race: Only drivers, was from a dig, the WS6 got the camaro by 1.5-2 cars by 100-110

2nd race was from a 60 roll, WS6 had a 230lb passenger, Z28 had only driver. WS6 got the camaro by 1/2 every gear, shifting slow, so that the space woundnt keep adding up.

3rd race from a 50 roll, Both cars had 1 passenger. Dead even till 130-140 when they both had to shut down due to merging traffic, the WS6 with still bald tires was spinning untill 3rd. Both cars were shifting at 5800-6000.

They will rematch after the WS6 gets some tires, and gets the Xpipe to true 3" duals done. Possibly getting a dyno tune done on both cars in the next month or so. They both have experience and awsome increase in throttle responce. Both sets of headers were easy to install. The QTPs was our first headers that we have ever installed on an LS1, and took 9hrs, mostly cus of the 4hrs we spent jacking it up and down and the 3 hrs clearencing the old exhaust, and the kmember. The edelbrocks only took 5hrs, with the Ypipe, sense we knew what all had to come off, what set up got the car high enough, and what had to be cut off the kmember.

Sorry that I dont have any hard information, but both cars will be getting tuned, and I will happily post the graphs, but they havent decided if the exhaust is all they want to do, those Dart heads, with a cam look pretty nice as of late
